AI document processing and credits
AI processing extracts structured values from uploaded files. One processed file uses one credit, including every
extraction field in its recipe.

Set it up
1. Open an upload page.
2. Go to Automation and open AI processing.
3. Choose the file field to process.
4. Add the values you want extracted, such as a vendor, date, amount, or reference number.
5. Click Save changes, enable the page if needed, and send a test file.
PDF, JPEG, PNG, and WebP files are supported. Files can be up to 50 MB. Large or complex PDFs can exceed the processing
input budget even within that size. Test representative documents; split a large document if processing cannot handle
it. There is no guaranteed PDF page count.
Credit outcomes
- Processed: one credit is used.
- Processing: one credit is reserved.
- Unsupported or failed: the credit is returned.
- Not enough credits: processing is skipped and no credit is used.
File delivery is separate. The original upload still reaches your connected storage when AI processing is skipped.
Monthly and purchased credits
Included credits renew monthly and do not roll over. Purchased credits do not expire.
The first Free workspace you create receives 5 monthly credits. Other Free workspaces do not receive a monthly
allowance, but they can buy credits. Paid plans include workspace credits shared by the team.
Check usage or buy credits
Open Settings > Billing to see the available balance, credits currently processing, renewal date, recent activity, and
one-time credit packs.
Buying credits applies to future submissions. Skipped submissions are not processed automatically.
Review results
Open a submission to see extracted values and whether its credit was used, returned, or not charged. Review important
financial, legal, or identity data against the original document.
Frequently asked questions
Does a normal upload use a credit?
No. Credits are only used when AI processing is configured for that file.
What happens when credits run out?
The upload still succeeds. AI processing is skipped and no credit is used.
Do bought credits expire?
No. Purchased credits remain in the workspace until they are used or the workspace is deleted.
